BIO:
Tamara Miller Lee is an artist living and working in Texas and Maine. She lived in the Houston area for more than 30 years. Tamara is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communications.
She has worked as a medical illustrator and graphic designer for The University of Texas Medical School and was a partner in the graphic design and illustration firm, Miller & Gerrish for 17 years. Her work appeared in many medical journals, books, and was used as demonstrative evidence in court cases. She designed and illustrated many publications for the University of Texas Medical School, as well as the City of Houston. For well over a decade she volunteered her art services to the Houston Humane Society. More recently, she concentrated on landscape painting.
Tamara's fondness for nature and animals has influenced her subject matter in paintings. She prefers a less literal interpretation of these subjects. She is also exploring artistically, her lifelong synesthesia, that is, her distinct relation of colors to all numbers and also to some letters.
Tamara's works are in both private and corporate collections, the majority being in private acquisitions. She has participated in group shows, along with having solo exhibitions.
This website will feature many of her more recent works in addition to some of her earlier works. Interested parties may contact the artist or her representative for more information.
